Why isn’t the Railmaster getting more love?

That is simply a phony statement, BB 58 is 11,9 mm thick versus Railmaster 12mm, essentially the same... Same story with the cases BB58 is 39mm and Railmaster is 39.5mm measured (40mm official...)
Fair enough with the measurements but they sit completely different on the wrist. Railmaster sits on the wrist, BB58 hugs the wrist.

Love mine too (more so the earlier ones) although I’m letting it go due to a new order watch purchase coming up otherwise it would be staying.

A wonderful reference😀
I think mine will be the one that will always stay with me after any and all others are moved along.

Something the Rolex Explorer owner will have to endure that you will never hear with a Railmaster: “is it real mate?” Can I offer you another one of my photos to help decide?

Wow the railmaster trilogy looks really good. I seem to be pulled in a million directions with the trilogy collection lately.

With regards to the latest (2017 onwards) RM it's often seen in sales campaigns at very attractive prices, but to me indicates it's clearly still a slow seller and/or a potential for ceasing production? An AD at this start of the year said he felt the current RM range was likely to cease within a year or so. Hope not.

Has anyone else heard similar?

That would be a very short run but seems plausible given the amount of focus on speedy and seamaster. Frankly I only ever see seamasters being rung up at the register whenever I take my regular visit to the local boutique.

I don't see the Railmaster watches stock available for sale anymore, its obvious our AD didn't reorder them, I wouldn't be surprised if the line ceases production.

I recall when I wanted to make my first Omega purchase, the sales rep at the AD brought out every other watch for me to see, the speedmaster and various iterations, the seamaster pro with all its colours and the Aqua terras and all its blingy iterations, and when none seemed to work with me she started to shift to another brand. That is when I took a quick glance at the display case and noticed a watch hidden behind, I pointed at "the railmaster" and requested to see it up-close. And when I ended up buying it the sales rep looked shocked.

I guess Omega will have to go back to the drawing board and see what went wrong, but I just don't think the railmaster had a chance in hell to distinguish itself from Omega's Top tier watches and it just slipped through the cracks.

Indeed. To me it's such an understated and underrated model. I guess with it's all brushed case and vintage style lume it is going to divide the lovers/dislikers perhaps but it does seem to play second fiddle to its Aqua Terra brethren who get more publicity/sales. I guess we'll wait and see how long it stays in the catalogue.

Love my Railmaster, it is such an awesome watch, simple yet full of character, mine is currently sporting the tan strap from the Seamaster 300 which gives it a totally different look.

Would you mind sharing a photo of the watch on that strap please?

Happy too;

No the strap isn't too tight just the angle of my wrist when the picture was taken.

Another for good measure....
@Stgo2019 , nice picture! Looks quite a bit like the area I spent my summers as a kid in Unaweep Canyon outside of Grand Junction CO.

And a shot of my '57 Trilogy Railmaster...I love this thing!
