Really like this reference but cant find any for sale. I know it’s discontinued but cant even find any on used market. Chrono24 has 3 for sale in the world. Just curious if they weren’t popular or omega only produced limited quantity. Anybody know where to source this reference?

There are a few color variations of it also, the grey dial pops up the most.

As an owner of one, I’m going to go with it’s fairly short lived life 2-3 years I think. These dates bridged the gap between the reduced and following racing line which updated the movement to co axial.

They also tend to wear small compared to a professional. Hence why they are more common in Japan. One of the reasons I feel it wears small is the bezel is angled and not like a reduced or professional. I think this carried into the racing’s that replaced it.

Here are some shots I have with it on a custom 2 stitch strap. Currently my GF wears it more on a short racing style strap. It just a tad small for me.

Wow the angled bezel does not do that watch any favors. It looks great in the OP's marketing picture above, but you are right - the angled bezel accentuates the smaller size, and the crystal seems to project WAY out too.

The crystal doesn’t come out that much. But the choice of no chapter ring does accentuate the rehaut from some angles.

It’s a pretty watch that gets lots of compliments, I just don’t wear mine a lot. It also has some details to it that you notice in person that annoy me a bit.

Specifically it has a raised area in the subdial I’m not a fan of, and the subdial hands seem a bit cheap compared to the rest of the watch. The hands would have been better if they where not just flat, they need a ridge or bevel. This is a personal thing that not everyone agrees with.

I sold mine about 6 months ago.
Ablog to a watch christened it the “yemen” it was produced for the Japanese market.

Mine was originally sold New in the US. It was a global model.

And that ablogtowatch article has some painful bad info about the movement. It’s 7750 based not modular based.

No worries, they did sell the bulk of them in Japan. There is also a very similar watch that was Japan only. I’m guessing you where thinking that one.

I’m really not a fan of that angled bezel.l, but straight on it is quite good looking! Love the date location.

Painfully bad information is an ABTW trademark...
