Game on @ConElPueblo let see what you got !!! baby !

Another one on my desk

Thats a great looking pre turtle! I love them...
I added one to the collection the other month https://mitka.co.uk/2018/10/24/service-certina-automatic-ds-pre-turtle-back-calibre-25-45/
I also did this one in Febuary https://mitka.co.uk/2018/02/18/service-certina-ds-calibre-25-36/

And not to mention the watch that gets 80% of my wrist time... I bought it for 拢80 10 years ago...

With the exception of some diver style versions going for mad money. Still generally underpriced compared to quality and style!

It's been a while since I wrote anything Certina-related here, but here are two of my most recent purchases, two uncommon references:

A gold 5810 112 and an amagnetic 5601 114. The amagnetic no-date version here is more or less my grail Certina DS, so big thanks to Certina godfather @Tony C. for guiding me in the right direction 馃榾

The gold DS was on my hit list as well and I am surprised to have added these two uncommon watches to my collection is such a short time span.

EDIT: Notice this funny detail: the gold DS has "T SWISS MADE T", but no lume while the absolutely glowing amagnetic has no Ts... And it isn't the only DS to feature a lumed dial without Ts.

Beautiful!

I would like to add the Amagnetic to my page. Could you please email me pictures I may use?

Certina DNA....well, Kurth Freres (which changed its name to Certina in 1939) DNA anyway....1938 Lincoln powered by KF300....very similar to KF/Grana watches of the period supplied to German military. It gets a lot of wrist time given its modern case size and accuracy.

I still don't have a Certina, so I'm just going to contribute this old Grana - Kurth Freres chronograph, since I understand the companies were connected.

If you are talking about my Grana, thank you. There's nothing on the outside, but there are some numbers on the inside of the case-back. I've never found another watch like it, and I think it's quite old. My best guess is 1940s. The movement is an unsigned Venus 175 with no shock protection. Quite a large case (38mm).

thats interesting - thank you!

Found something pretty similar to it:

800px-Coat_of_arms_of_United_Arab_Republic_%28Syria_1958-61%2C_Egypt_1958-1971%29.svg.png

There is one on eBay from Egypt, which seems to correlate well with the crest being Middle Eastern in origin. IMO, the one for sale now is too shagged to be of interest, but should a good example surface (I've seen, what, four of these now) it would make a fun addition to a Certina collection. We know that some of the later Certina divers were issued to the Royal Australian Navy and these could well have been issued to a military unit in the ME.

This really hurts when I think about tha first gen diver..
But it was part of a trade for a 1655 so I am glad how it turned out馃榾
