I like that the screws all line up. Reminds me of the Royal Oak and an easy sign of attention to detail & quality.

Calling @ConElPueblo 😁

Cheers 😀

I certainly love Certinas... These last few weeks I've been on a bit of a spending spree, so along with three DS' I am expecting back from service (any day now..!) I am expecting 2-3 others (I might win an auction for something special this weekend...) to enter the collection soon.

That'll bring the combined total to 11 Certinas, of which a fair few of them are a bit unusual. I mostly collect DS' as the scope within that field is more than enough to have a rounded out, interesting collection. I look forward to showing off the collection later on when they are all together.

Mind you, the collection do not contain any golden rarities like the ones Bill show off earlier in the thread - a solid gold DS is really something truly special! The über-grail in vintage Certinas has to be the solid gold Certina DS-2 Chronometer. What a beast! One of the esteemed members on OF has one, sadly not on the bracelet...

Great case condition on that DS-2! These are almost always beat up when I find them... Bet that the Kermit dial looks amazing after the crystal has seen some polywatch 😀

I like the vintage divers from certina especially the ds2 and ds3 squper ph1000m, their chrono with valjoux 23 and 72 movements are still affordable and of very good quality

Very nice - I nearly bid on that one, too. Clearly remember the missing lume dots at 12 😀

What serial number does it have?

Hi
Do not have it in hand yet..... I think the dot at 12 is on either side.... but anytime i see a pat pending case ..... they are too cool...

sad part is I have a "Bag full of them ...." some for the pat pend cases.. others for the dial design ......

at 36 mm it is a great wearer... and rugged...

best

Sorry, meant to write "dot", not "dotS" - I think the right one is missing. No big deal though... I love the coffin markers on yours, very unusual! There is a huge variety of dials in DS', very similar to the Omega Seamasters of the fifties with their myriad of designs.

I actually have just come back from the post office carrying - yes, you've guessed it - a "patent pending" DS 😁 😁
Will post some pictures after I've finished lunch and sent the girlfriend and daughter out of the house. It's a real stunner!

I see some internal cracks in the crystal here. Unfortunately, Polywatch can do nothing for that. You’ll need a new crystal. They pop up on eBay from time to time, so watch for them.
