Just received my first Certina, circa early 1950s. Not sure if it's the correct crown though. And unfortunately no turtle back.

my DS,
first before being revised with rusty blue hands. Always thought that they are not original but I´ve seen them several times in the meantime
than after being revised

Yup, I’ve replaced the hands on my Turtle too. Yours looks much better for the change.

Hi Spruce,
they are still the original blue hands. My watchmaker only removed the rust as part of the recent revision and re-coated the hands with new lume.

Well, I wouldn’t have guessed it. He’s done a great job.

yes, as always she did a great job.
Marlies last revised 3 watches for me in February and lost her fight against cancer in May.
I was so shocked. The Certina is my remembrance of a very lovable person and a great watchmaker.

Hello folks,
I really don’t want to bother you with too many Certinas. So here’s just a few from my rack:
I love the 60s divers and dress watches.
Love the Miura homage = thank you!

Always liked Certina though I haven’t owned many. My favorite was the Blue Ribbon. Owned once and sold, recently found another and had it serviced.

Very pleased with it. Textured dial, nice shape case, hidden crown; all subtle features that make an otherwise understated piece visually interesting.

Hard to capture its true appeal on photos though!

My first Certina was a nice eBay find. Certidate in nice condition, very sharp case. Unfortunately stopped running shortly after receipt 🙄

A few more Certinas are on the way, really enjoying learning more about this brand!

Case, hands and dial look nice so after a trip to the spa, you’ll enjoy wearing it.

I like this one on the original bracelet.

Are you sure bracelet and end links are correct?

Just in, running pretty close to spot on- did a quick poly on the crystal. wipe down on the case and threw a strap on it- was surprisingly clean. Will be off shortly for a service and wet-sand on the crystal.
