Hi guys. Here’s my latest DS find, a nice early(‘59) model with a two tone dial and facetted hands. Possibly just needs a polish of the glass and I’ll see if I can find the correct crown for it. I think the dial will look stunning once it’s done up.

That's the first time I've seen those hands on a DS, but could well be original.

Anyway... DIBS!

Hi again
I’d seen them once before on the vintage certina’s web site:

I considered them as original. I’ve also found a similar one recently that’s in the process of getting a service.

That's a great piece of info for the Certina DS knowledge bank 👍

Might as well join the Certina club seeing as now I have 2 - I guess that makes me more than just a spectator.

Yes

It disappeared from the site before ending the auction, if I remember correctly 😉

Good catch!

The auction went 'till the end

You know you got it bad when you know a watch by where it came from when it was on eBay 😉

Not on ebay, @ConElPueblo fishes in deeper waters😁

I just love the dial on this waterking on eBay in Germany, great font. Just a real shame that the case has taken a heck of a beating at some point.

That Argonaut 280 you have above is great - love that orange second hand.
