PS is that a BoR bracelet? Photos please!

It's the mesh Ploprof 'seat belt' clasp. Available still from Omega.

Watch is taking us to Ireland. Tag teaming with @Evitzee apparently, who is heading to Switzerland and France about the time we return.

Speedmasters like to fly!

It has to obey the rotation turn even if it is a speedy. Rules are rules.

Not a Pro but it's the watch that I wear most often, so I guess that makes it my "daily".

Where are you flying? Watch looks great, BTW. Dunkin’? As a MA resident years past, DD not so much…
I’m confused, New England runs on Dunkin’.

When I lived in Malawi the only watch I had for 18 months was my 1989 speedmaster Apollo 11 20th anniversary watch. I wore it everyday no matter where I was going. I grew quite attached to it, as it travelled with me, to a few countries while I lived there.

Now it is in rotation with other watches. I rotate my watch every couple of days and I usually have 5 or 6 in rotation with the others in the safe. When I get bored I swap some of them our of rotation.

I just happen to be wearing it today.

@Cenzo, who makes this strap? It is really nice looking, esp w the deployant buckle.

Well the omega one I would avoid. Heard several snoopy users saying they can’t use it as it is too uncomfortable.

Yes. Thanks to Uncle (Seiko) Straps half-link for the 1861 bracelet, it now fits perfectly!

You can see the grooves on the Uncle half-link are a little bit deeper than the Omega links, but in use it’s partly hidden by the buckle so who cares?

No, it the Speedmaster "First Omega In Space". It's a numbered edition watch that was in production from 2012 to 2020. It originally came on a brown leather strap. Mine's on a Forstner flat link bracelet.

Wore my 1994 "25 years Apollo 11" as a daily beater until I couldn't wind it any longer... in 2016, that was almost 22 years without a service !
Wore it again after a service but stopped wearing Omega Speedmaster in July 2019 "50 years Apollo 11", extremely disappointed about the commemorative 50th Apollo anniversary releases... Maybe in 2025 they might release a true & affordable Apollo-Soyuz tribute ? 🥱

I am not sure if that "commemorative" also came on a bracelet, but if it did the clasp would have said "professional" on it. There are a few of the Speedys that are intended to look like the original...which didn't have professional on the dial. If it has an 1861 movement it is a Professional. Any of the older "Automatics" are not Professionals. Probably doesn't matter to you, but I am pretty sure that your watch is worth a bit more than a "regular" Moonwatch, and part of the reason is because the dial is almost indistinguishable from the late 60's Speedys. Great watch by the way

I am sort of a newbie on OF, but not so new that I have not seen "Speedy Phill" referred to as an authority on one topic or another. So I was amused, and shocked, to read that you wore a commemorative Speedy for 22 years until it just said no more (smile) Irreverence

Going on 22 years of ownership (15 years as a daily), ya’ll have inspired me to take it out today and forgo the shinier options.
