Hi all, New Years Eve is a perfect time to draw up the accounts and look back upon an interesting watch year. Over the year, I’ve seen many great purchases, collections and projects. The WRUW Today thread was entertaining as ever. In addition to the 2019 review topic by @sliceoftime_ and following Hodinkee’s example; I am curious to learn Which watch got most of your 2019 wrist time? In my case, the winner must have been this late 80s 145.0022 CRS. Curious which watch got most of your wrist time in 2019! Cheers on a brilliant 2020, Aludic
OMG! I have NO idea! It would likely be one of a dozen or so that I have on occasion. But which one got the most wrist time? No idea. I do know which one I showed most often on the MB over the year. But don’t ask me to show it again.
Tudor BB41. It looks appropriate just about anywhere. Seamaster GMT was a close runner up, and will likely eclipse it in 2020 unless I get something more awesome.
For sure it’s my BLNR. I’ve worn it daily for 4 years until the last month or so when I got my Ti Planet Ocean
Oh that’s easy, it was....er Or perhaps it was now come to think of it maybe... damn fool question anyway.
Has probably been my birthyear 16800. Perfect daily wearer: date, good condition but not perfect so no second thoughts about wearing the heck out of it
Despite having 3 Rolex’s, 9 0mega’s, and about 24 other yummies- this guy keeps showing up on my wrist for some reason
A good question/post to go along with other 2019 reflection posts. I couldn’t answer as I don’t list my daily swap but I now plan to make a note every day for 2020 to be able to answer this question next year. 2 second quick phone photo every day gives me my journal for the year. It might help me stop making impulsive non researched purchases I seem to make from time to time based on nothing more than price.
A simple Genève from 1970. I bought it about 10 years ago and never used it. Got it serviced late 2018 and gave it myself for Christmas!!! Been wearing it regularly ever since. Picked up a buckle for it this summer.
For me, it was probably this 31mm issued CS(I) circa 1941 on a canvas strap, acquired and serviced in 2018. It got a lot of summertime wear:
