Eesh that’s rough. I prefer the seamaster, but if somebody was offering, I’d take the Rolex

 

2 liner vs 1 liner...I thought less is more, and less lines always wins

 

Both nice but the lume of the subs always seem to hold up better than the seamasters. I'd go with the sub on this one.

 

Yea picked up my first seamaster today, it’s a 1986 and the lume is almost non existent

 

Of course the one with the bigger triangle.

I love a Seamaster 300 but not with a date......it’s somehow just wrong on that watch.

 

I’d go with the Seamaster. Sure, the other one is a Rolex but it looks like a pretty average example.

I'll take the Sub, no question. If it were a straight-lug SM300, my decision would be more difficult.

 

Sub- that seamaster’s Dial is a bit past my point of wabi-sabi and there are plenty out there in better shape.

 

Me too. That Rolex all day every day over that Seamaster.

 

The Sub. No dates are my preference and unless I am mistaken the sub is more valuable.

I'm not a Rolex person, but the date window kills the Seamaster for me. I would go with the Sub.

 

I would take the sub, sell it and get myself a straight lug seamaster or a Tudor snowflake...
