My money would be on the Sector. I've tried all 3 on and that was the one that sung to me the most. I dress casually for work so tend to err on that side of thing with my watches too and I think the Sector works best in that setting. Not saying it doesn't 'dress up' but I have another watch for that.

Master control date.
I was really looking forward to seeing these for dial (for months). When I saw it I was bothered by the blank space outside the seconds marks (why not make the dial design fit the whole space). I also prefer the depth of the applied markers vs the printed ones.
As for the Master calendar I think it needs a moonphase, the lower portion of the dial feels empty, for some reason to me the Reserve De Marche does not feel this way to me.

Reverso is pretty high on my list for my next major watch purchase. I saw one in a window on the plaza in Venice in the very early days of my watch interest. It immediately caught my eye and I knew I wanted to own one some day. I didn’t even know who JLC were before that point.

Don't buy without trying it on...I love them, but hate the way they look on my wrist.

Considered a master moon? It’s in the 38-40mm range.

The Master Moon was 37 mm diameter. No longer have mine, but here is a photo of it along with the moon at the same stage...

I’m completely new to JLC watches and until I viewed this thread I’d never really considered them but IMHO the Master control date face and case look great and are exactly what I go for in other makes.

You’ll be surprised to hear 😀

Good advice, thank you.

I tried one on in 2017, but that was when I was first getting into watches. It’s quite possible my taste or eye for what looks good on my wrist may have changed since then.

(Even though it has been less than 3 years since I went on the trip I was referencing, it feels so much longer ago than that... time is flying these days I guess.)

So OP, did you make your choice already?! 😀

I just picked a JLC Master Grande Taille in 37mm from 2002.
Since i have been "window shopping" for the JLC Master Control Date before, but those are not that cheap when buying new in store.. i knew that i wont be able to resist once i found a good local deal.
Yesterday was the day, i drove out to check the watch in person; i already thought i wont be going home empty handed 😗

This watch is just stunning in real life and the size is about perfect. 👍 no pictures do justice here!
The seller also included the bracelet, which he bought last year from an AD. This is the most comfortable bracelet i have ever worn! I can only advice to go for one with a bracelet, since adding one afterwords is not cheap!
It had a full service by an official JLC Service Center few years ago.
Considering its a full set in immaculate condition with all the papers and bills included, and can be found for less than half price of a new one, i think its an amazing value for money!

I never tried the 39 or 40mm Master Control Date, but i prefer the smaller sizes anyways.
