Which of these 9 vintage omegas should I keep?

I bought 9 vintage omegas from a reputable watchmaker and vintage dealer in NYC. I'm giving away 8 of them to my groomsmen ahead of my wedding in October, and keeping 1 for myself. Which one should keep?

I know @MSVintage titled this thread "Which of these 9 vintage omegas should I keep?" but my poor horologically addicted brain can't process it as anything other than "Which of these 9 vintage omegas can I persuade the OP to sell to me?"

I know that's not what the OP meant. I'm not accusing @MSVintage of a sneaky sales post. But I've not bought a vintage Omega for a couple of months, so my palms are sweating and I can't look anyone in the eyes for more than a second.

Anyone else the same?
Actually a more pertinent question would probably be, is anyone else able to read the OP as intended?

You should sell me the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 9th keep the 1st, 2nd, 6th, 7th and 8th.

EDIT:
Keep the last one. It's gorgeous.

@BrokenSkunk I love the creativity but I swear all of these have been purchased and will be gifted (except for the one I'm keeping for myself). I'm genuinely interested in the forum's opinion on which one I should keep! I don't want to give away a gem by mistake...

So they are all pretty nice, and I think all would be nice watches to own! ONE question you need to ask yourself: Do you look good/like yellow gold coloring? Some/many skin-tones clash with yellow gold (myself included!) so that might guide your judgement.

My harsh judgement on all of them:

#1 (railroad track omega): Non-original hands would bother me (short second hand!), plus dial damage.
#2 (blue cosmic): Rougher dial, and a bit newer than many of the others. Otherwise a nice watch, but if I was doing a 'wedding' watch, not sure I'd go with that one.
#3: (Date automatic "Seamaster"): This one has seen a watchmaker who didn't pay particular attention, as you can see by the gold tension ring. IF that was correct/corrected, I think this is a pretty lovely looking watch, and might be MY candidate of the ones (though the large bezel is a turn off for me).
#4: (Gold deville): This is a lovely watch, if you're good with yellow gold, hard to say no to this one.
#5: (Seamaster automaitc sub/seconds): That dial is odd, perhaps not original (re-lumed at minimum), but not one I'm familiar with. Oddly, it looks like the hour hand is installed upsidedown? Either way, I'm not a fan of this one's 12/3/6/9 markers.
#6: (Gold Deville w/ sub-second track): Same as #4: Lovely and looks great, up to you on the dial. I think this would be a great dress watch/go well as a wedding watch.
#7: (Gold deville, bad crystal): This oine needs a bit of polywatch, and the hands are a little messy which would bother me. The 'automatic' word bothers me (the lettering isn't even/etc? Though that could be the rough crystal), so there's that.
#8 (Tank Deville): Not my style at all, and not a particularly nice watch IMO.
#9 (f300hz): OF the list, this is in the nicest shape, and is an absolute peach for what it is. (Strap is obviously the wrong size). Up to you whether you want an automatic, but if you're ok with a battery-powered-watch, and OK with yellow gold, I'd say this one on condition alone.

I didn't want to run the watches down, my opinion each watch as a collector will be very different from the opinion of a groomsman who has just been gifted an Omega.

#1 Not my style.
#2 Dial is a little rough at the perimeter, Not at all bad though.
#3 Polished? It's nice though.
#4 Bent lug at 1pm? Brassing on lugs? It's a nice watch, but as a collector I'd pass on it and wait for something minty-er.
#5 Appears to have been relumed by someone who shouldn't have. (weird hour hand, 6pm and 10pm markers most obvious.) See my comment on #4.
#6 I really like this one.
#7 This one too.
#8 Not my style.
#9 Is a peach. It's a hummer too, which is right up my street. If I were in your shoes, I'd sell this watch to me and look for something else to keep keep this one.

If it helps, my opinion as a collector is that this is a really generous gesture for a groom to make.

I'm planning to be your surprise guest - I'm someone's grandpa but let's not worry too much about exactly who's. I'll be very pleased to take care of #3 in recompense for the fact that your wedding organiser failed to send me a timely invitation and, to be honest, I feel badly offended.

Looking forward to the dad dancing event after the banquet. ::psy::

#9 is a little larger and, because of that, looks a little more contemporary.

I have a similar 1972 model on (IMHO) a rather better matching strap and I use (very gently) a soft jewellers cloth to remove tarnish.

Changing reply. Didn't read the whole post.

Are you sure they even want one? Nothing worse then giving a watch thats dumped in a drawer

Maybe a wallet. Nice pocketknife or multitool if they're good with their hands

Now I'm scared to ask...what's the reasonable range to have paid for this collection (including curation, bands, service, and basic boxes)? Let me know and then I'll reveal what I paid...

Without knowing the model numbers/more details on each of them, anything I give is a WAG.

That said, my WAG on buying these individually would be ~$3500? As a collection like this, I'd probably want to be at about 1/2 - 2/3 of that.

Congratulations! I like the third from the top. Seamaster with date. You can take a photo of the watch with the correct date and refer to it to remember your wedding anniversary as years pass.

I paid about double

I paid about double

I spent a little while looking into it, and while there are a few in the $3-400 range, I suspect there are more closer to $700 than I expected? BUT that is going to depend severely on condition/how well they are running on a timegrapher/service/etc.

The f300hz is probably the most valuable in the condition it is in, probably ~$1000? So my estimate might have been on the low side, I might say ~$5k if I were to buy them individually, but still wouldn't go more than ~2/3 of that if buying as a bulk lot, simply because there are a few that are of low/little interest.

That said, for such a special occasion, overpaying isn't the worst thing in the world.

A really generous offer to your groomsmen.

I'd definitely keep #9. After that it would be #6 then #4 depending on a closer look but definitely #9 first choice.

I love that #9 still has the radial brushing in what seems to be great condition as well.

Yeah, I don't usually go for those, but that finishing is beautiful!

Yes, very, an absolute pain if it gets damaged though.
