...and do they seriously sell for this price? Only 3 on C24... ...and 2 on eBay... I sure am happy to have mine (Thanks again Paul!) ... one will have to pry it from my cold dead hands ... Any others out there?
My friend who is also a member here but hasn't posted in a couple of years, bought two of these NIB when they first came out. He wore one very, very sparingly and kept the other NIB. About a year ago he sold the one he wore, complete set, for the upper end of the prices shown. Not bad
I have one...I don't wear it as much as I should...it's a cool reference...I just don't like the bracelet...maybe I need to put it on the white velcro
I really have hard time to understand why would one pay 20k+ for a modern LE, something’s gone really wrong… Mayday, mayday…
Blondes, brunettes AND redheads...they are not mutually exclusive (apologies to our finer female population for any offense...none meant whatsoever, on the contrary...)... Or put it on a Forstenerbands/UncleSeiko flatlink?
When I joint OF they were like $8k, and no one was buying. I think it takes a while for watches like this to transition from being owned by initial buyers who plan on them being regular wearers to being owned extensively by collectors who may sock them away for extended periods while the values finally start to climb.
I’m happy I got one in my possession as well but didn’t take it out from the box yet. Will give it a shot with some Velcro strap. Once my AD get one... I heard strange stories last week at dealer about the availability of Omega watches and even spare parts here in the Czech Republic.
I was really liking these 10 years ago when they were around $5000-6000. Wish I'd pulled the trigger, then.
Like the Tin-Tin, you couldn't give them away when they come out. Now the prices have gone nuts (although not US$20k yet).
Pumped by stimmy cheques and crypto gainz probably. Which means the house of cards will likely come crashing down when the music stops.
C24 estimates the same as you folk Although I still wonder how that works. Some watches have an inverse value to asking prices on listings...
You cannot rely on the prices you can find in C24 for these watches with so low offer. I have been following one Alaska during more than 8 months in C24 full set and in a very good conditions for less than 13.000€, and it was sold (or withdraw) not more than 3 months ago. Now you find it for 24K€ in USA and 39K€ in Italy... The real value, and even with some reserves, is the final one in a normal auction (not phillips or similar, where some people just pay to buy there). Another curious thing that I notice is that normally the watches in Italy are much more expensive than in other places... Interesting
