When too much oil.............

    .........is just a bit toooooo much!

    I'm servicing a Seiko 7548 diver at the moment. I disassembled all of the components.

    Then I went to do a preliminary inspection before cleaning.

    It appears that the previous service technician thought that quartz movements required LOTS of oil on the pivots. Maybe they were a part time auto mechanic as well.

    I'll be using specified quartz watch oil in the required quantities when I put it back together.

    Hasn't it got a dipstick?
    Or a sight glass?
