What's your favorite strap and why?

I've been messing around with various bracelets and straps, and so far a bespoke strap from Howard (Veblenist) is my current go-to. Unlined shell cordovan for an Omega deployant clap. The customization works perfectly for my odd wrist bone structure. Wearing it is beyond comfortable. The leather warms and doesn't stretch and I thing it goes nice with the 1861. Still waiting on an adjusted strap from George (Genteel) and I'm pretty sure that will be top notch as well.

How about you?

I've tried quite a few makers, have settled on Genteel Handmade for offering the biggest selection of materials, colors, stitching, lining and sizing options. You can pretty much design what you want. Priced a little more than others, and you have to wait four or five weeks, but when you custom order items these days you have to pay a little more and wait a little longer.

The long Omega NASA Velcro strap used to be my favorite…but now it’s the Omega mil green polyester NATO. I still can’t believe how comfortable the polyester is…and it dries quickly…and it looks “utilitarian good” imho.

I absolutely love shell cordovan too. Most of my leather straps are shell cordovan. I have several from both watchstrapheaven (jankoxxx on this forum), Difues Leather and Roverhaven. They are all excellent and highly recommended. For bracelets I would say than my favourite is the JB from Forstnerbands - not the most comfortable but definitely the coolest.

Here some photos 😀
