All great choices. Nonetheless, I have to go with this one:

I would have gone with the SM300, but as it's inspired directly by the 1957 original, I didn't think it qualified as completely "modern". This one, however, outsells almost everything else Omega makes (with the probable exception of the Speedy Moonwatch). It's a modern classic.

I expect it will be the speedytuesday when I see it in the flesh but until then it has to be this one, I like the bracelet but I am wearing it on the leather strap at the moment.

Pic from Fratellowatches, I don't own one of these but wish I did, I think my favourite modern Omega(the Italian Albino)....

The Speedy Tuesday keeps me content though.

Haha fair point! They are thoroughly modern watches though.
The design is yes objectively vintage but the construction, bracelet, clasp, movement, etc... are all modern 😀

Yes, and the RMLE and SM300LE with the 8806 movement, sapphire crystal and new bracelet are more “modern” than the Moonwatch which is essentially the same watch inside and out that was released in the 60’s. I’d also add that the ST is just a modded Speedy.

If by “modern” we are talking about Omegas with contemporary design elements (like big and thick) then I would choose the small blue PO followed by the new Ploprof. My favorite however is my 38.5 AT Skyfall which I think is a modern-day classic.

Planet ocean! I plan to buy it at the end of this year ( I was a very heavy smoker (10-15 cig. a day) till 31th Dec 2017 and have gone cold turkey since then and have promised myself this watch if I don't smoke at all for this whole year 😉 )
I can tell you that this watch has been a great motivation for me to not smoke so far.

Go go go! That's a fantastic goal. I lost my mother to emphysema several years ago. Stay strong and keep us posted!

The first for work, the second for play, and either of the third for grand occasions or just staring at until I realise I’ve spent too long staring at them...

@Theognosis, What strap is that on the Railmaster? It looks great.

It’s the leather strap that comes with the RMLE. The strap looks underwhelming but when worn on the wrist, it actually looks good.

I just got the GSOTM and like it for its modern materials (ceramic), subdued luxury, and meteorite dial. My next Omega will likely be the Planet Ocean.
