Platinum 321 the meteorite subdials on the matching bracelet for me. Once I learned about platinum’s durability it became the PM of choice for me. A man can dream 😍. A more realistic PM option for me would be the moonshine gold panda on rubber lol. I think id prefer the 50tj snoopy over that though, but hard to know without spending any time with either of these three.

Was listening on the train this morning but couldn’t focus so I’ll give it another go.

Of the twelve modern versions I own, the New 321 Ed White.....perfect size and execution. Updated in all the right areas, but still has the classic Ed White vibe.

The second one is the Cal 1866 based, Ref 3575.20 with date and moonphase from about 2004. One of the best Speedmaster dials in ecru (beige), similar to the Albino. Mine is an Adam Lewis modded one with blue baton hands instead of the stock Broad Arrow hands, plus a blue Apollo IV bezel instead of the WG bezel, plus a sapphire back. Very sharp watch on the wrist, on a Genteel Handmade navy blue goat strap with beige stitching.

One that I don't own but is super sharp is the 45th Snoopy, one of the great Speedmaster dials and overall execution. A collector's dream.

Favorite modern Speedmaster? That’s tough. Cost no object, the platinum/meteorite cal 321. But the one that I’d be most likely to buy is the Ultraman reissue.

Same here, and in addition of the Snoopy 3, they are my best duo.

With the last 1861 gen, and a neo vintage hesalite sandwich, they’re my fantastic four.

Seems that the Rising Sun has lost a bit of its popularity the last year or so. Mine is on a Himalayan crocodile strap from Genteel Handmade, I think it's the most expensive leather strap I've ever bought, but it looks great.

It’s a good news for me, I would get one if it were back to retail price.

The list price in Japan was 759,000 yen, that's about $5,210 USD today. They are never going to go to that level.

I (finally) decided to pull the trigger on my first Speedy about 4 years ago. I was debating between a Hesalite sandwich and a Rising Sun. I went with the 3592.50 and am VERY happy with it, but from a purely financial standpoint, I would have been better off getting the Rising Sun. I think they were selling for $6500 back then, while the Hesalite sandwich's price hasn't really changed much. But the Rising Sun is on my list (as is the Canopus Speedy, the Moonshine Apollo 11 Speedy, etc)
