Garmin Forerunner 945 LTE:

Zenith Chronomaster Sport:

Breitling AVI Ref. 765 1953 Re-Edition:

Bulova MIl-SHIPS-W-2181:

H. Moser & Cie Heritage Centre Seconds Funky Blue:

Put a deposit down on the Hanhart Pioneer 417 Red Lion Chronograph:
How are the red accents formed on the Hanhart? is it rubber coating over the chronograph pusher or is it a coating applied to the steel? I guess my question also applies to the mark at 12 o'clock. Thanks and Merry Christmas!!!

This year was my introductory year. I've been taking it slow, so I've only made 1 purchase. That said, I'm extremely happy that I was able to buy this watch from @Toishome:

Next year, the plan is to add a Constellation to the mix (perhaps dogleg?). Happy holidays to all!

Most likely the pusher is anodized, the marker is a ceramic insert.

Significant buy of the year for me , it was a watch I missed out on when initially released but I wasn’t going to miss out again when the opportunity arose . I traded in a Rolex DJ & couldn’t be happier, Its a watch that just has such character and for me one of the best Speedmasters ever made .

I had a great 2021 for a variety of reasons; least among them some varied and cool (to me) pickups for the watch box.

Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Blue

Laco Memmingen, upgraded movement & AR, engraved with the date of my first FAA check ride for PP/SEL, gift from my wife:

1960’s Luch (Soviet Union)

Omega Railmaster 1957 Trilogy Limited Edition

Seiko SPB151 “Captain Willard”

I added some wrist watches in addition to the pocket watches I previously posted. In addition, a cabinet of Accutron cases, hands, dials, partial movements, and spare parts sufficient to put together a dozen or so Accutron 214s and 218s. Too many to show.

The three shown here are from a bottomless box of derelict watches, discarded by previous owners. All right watches, no expense but a few parts and a bit of sweat equity.

A manual wind, day/date Gruen, circa mid to late ‘60s, I guess.

A Gruen automatic, gold shell case, German Durowe movement. Mid to late 1960s, I guess

An Alanbury, manual wind, German Durowe movement, fitted to the case from a donor watch. Prior to 1960.

Not much buying going on this year. But I do enjoy this Smiths braille watch from a local antique shop. Particularly, I think, because I made my first watch strap for it. I’ll be redoing the strap this week, but it was fun to do 👍

Sky-Rocket with 1942 engraving on case back. It was a total basket case but wonderfully revived by @Canuck Plus a Seamaster bought at auction as a surprise from my wife - who knows very little about watches. Check out the sharp case. This one was serviced by @ATracyWatches

A challenging year outside of the watch world so needed the boost from the enablers here with some wristwatch therapy. This was supposed to be a year without a new purchase……maybe 2022.

A handful (5!)of quartz grab and go, each with their own character and special features

Then a re-acquisition of IMHO the best LE speedy, or at least the one that works best for me
And another titanium watch to add to the stable.

And one for the “nothing to see here….just move along” group, but it’s fun

And then the watch that I have worn almost every day since I got it in September. Seriously re-thinking whether I need anything else.

This year I bought a house so it has been a very slow watch year for me. I actually didn’t realise how slow until I looked at the records. Only two! wristwatches all year 😲

Interestingly they are the same reference and the white dial version hasn’t left my wife’s wrist since I let her try it on. I guess it’s better than the matching leisure suits that some people wear.

I had wanted a Navitimer for a long time, and fell in love with this one once I saw it in person.

Close call between my reverso and this iwc with hooded lugs. I guess I like rectangular watches …
