Jesus...kangaroos look about as dangerous as a mouse compared to a saltwater croc!

I take people probably don't walk their dogs on the beach.

Another vote for the 2500, with mesh. #2, the Seamaster bond quartz mesh, #3 Seiko SKX with Wgene solid link Oyster with solid endlinks.

I wear all of my watches in the water. Pool or ocean. Most are modern divers. I pressure test any watch that is over a year old or wasn't serviced in the last year. And I double check the crown before I go in the water. And I wash them off with fresh water afterwards. Never had an issue.

SMP
PO LM LE

Sinn U1

Seiko SKX

And a Speedmaster '57 at the bottom of my pool

I also wear my Luminoxes and Suunto in the water, but I am not going to bore you with those pics.

If I had a modern Rolex or Omega I would have no problem wearing it in the water. Hell, I wore my 1968 1675 at the beach/pool/fishing two weeks in a row.

No more vtg for water or travel now that I picked up this Seiko.
Like this Seiko!! What model is it? It doesn't look familiar.

Have a vacation coming up in a couple weeks. It'll be either the seiko prospex 777 or the Doxa 1200T sharkhunter

Probably mostly the doxa.

I've been to places where there are beaches, but those beaches weren't included in holiday activities. But if I was to ever holiday on some beaches, I'd wear a Swatch, or no watch at all.

Don't have pics right now but my beach watches have been:

Aqua terra amazingly effective
Smp300 ceramic. Meh
GMT 16710. Love it in the beach
PO. Both 45.5 and 42. Great
Gshock. I mean, you can do anything with it.
Explorer 1. Great
14060m. Like it was born to be there....

All these have seen some water and sand, some snorkeling, some basic diving max 30m, some pool. All piña coladas.

My explorer 2 saw some mountain skying but never the beach.

Next I'll bring the Tudor, unless I sell it, as I got it as a low profile vacation piece.

Ok, how about this one from a couple years ago on eBay?

That's the one. 👍
Actually that is the WGene version of Dennis's. Same maker as my Seiko Oyster. Both have solid links with screw bolts and Solid endlinks. Very sturdy and nice looking. 👍

William Gene is a member of forums and based out of Canada. Sells nice quality accessories.

I'm not a "beach vacation" guy, as sitting on the beach and splashing in the water, or sitting around a pool deck is boring as hell to me personally. But I took my SM300 to Hawaii - it's my beater watch...

And although most of time was spent hiking, I did go in the water once for about an hour, just to say I'd done it...wore the watch, fully submerged many times, no problems.

Does anyone insure their watch? Call me a p@@$y, but I would never wear a watch worth $thousands$ of dollars to the beach.
That's why these guys are around.

My beach watch.

I lost a fake Submariner that I bought in Tijuana at the beach. I'll bet the guy that found it shiiit his pants. That watch kept great time and was waterproof.

My beach watch.

I have an insurance that covers jewelry, incl. watches all around the world up to 5.000 euro for about 100 euro per year. Against losing it, thieves, damaging it myself. It is part of my in house insurance.
