Casio F something-or-other from Dixons. It's didn't last very long, as the asphalt in the school playground was rough on the case, the strap, the crystal...

My very first! Still runs but is minus 5 hours a day. And the band is too short.

Mid-60s Benrus that I got as a high school graduation gift. It originally came on a leather strap that I "upgraded" to a genuine Speidel bracelet. I still have this watch and it still runs. 😀

Edox from 1978, Automatic ETA movement - bought it with my own savings. I wore it for years fitted with a bush strap (cover).

I still have it, although its in pieces - I'll get to restoring it sometime.

I bought a Movado Moderna when I was in high school with some lawn-cutting money - now gracing the wrist of my brother's wife (she needed a watch and liked it) so it's still in the family.

The first watch I bought for myself was a G-Shock, but my first "real" watch was a Breitling Colt A73380.

First watch of any kind? Timex. Kept good time for a couple of years until it quit ticking.
Must have took too much of a licking!😁

Great thread! Upon seeing the thread, I remembered my first watch being a Swatch back in 1989, but I couldn't remember what it looked like. I Googled "Swatch models 1989" and stumbled upon a website that showed models released per year, but none of the watches triggered any memory, so I checked the watches released in 1988 where I found my watch:

I scrolled further down and discovered another watch I owned (I totally forgot owning two Swatches at that time). Here's the other one:

Wow! I'm pretty sure that was my first watch too. I don't have it any more, but I remember it looked like that and was about the same year.
