Swatch. 1st Gen, from 1983. Had to push a few extra holes in the strap so it didn't fall off my young wrist.
A dressy citizen quartz with 2 tone bracelet, a vit garish now but in its day (28 years ago) looked the part ... wish I still had it
I had a mickey Mouse with a blue dial & strap, it stopped working one day when i was 6 & i gave it to my parents. Never saw it again... I got this as a replacement a year later. Still have it, still works after 38 years
Father offered me a nice Flik Flak when I was a child I could not care less about watches and then I got a nice AT8500 when I graduted 5 years ago. Now I am stuck with a dozen of speedies
French made Mortima I got while on holiday in Barcelona Spain as a birthday present from my dad when I was 8 or 9. Died a death long ago, but I still have it.
It was 1946. My watchmaker father gave me a Westclox pocket Dax, which, at that time, sold for $4.75. I took it to pieces at my desk, in school. The teacher took it away from me. My second was a Westclox wrist watch. My third was a Bulova Automatic. Still have it.
Mine was a black casio which could recite the time out aloud....barely lasted a week. Hated the damn thing. Got a nice Casio G-Shock from my Grandfather before I got shipped off to military school! Pics coming soon
It's was 31 years ago and it was a swatch watch in fact I bought three in the same year.... I was 17 couldn't bare to part with them no longer working but here they are..
It was a CITIZEN automatic dress watch, with a 17 jewel movement. It had a blue dial. And just know it hit me! I'm so drawn to blue dial watches, I currently have 3 in my collection Plus I have a Squale with a Batman bezel
