Now that's a brand I've been looking at, they seem to have attracted a lot of positive attention, much like Bremont recently but they've not made the mistake of pricing themselves out of the market like many others with similar early success seem to.

Today I have on my Patek Philippe Calatrava, Patek is probably the only brand that vies with Omega for the number one spot in my favourite watch brand list.

Depending on the light conditions it comes out rose/pink gold looking but I think this is down of my camera and lack of photography skills!

They do an amazing job of turning simplicity into brilliance.

I'm going to use the Force on you to ship me that watch - but don't worry, it'll only be for a month or two. 😉😁

Incidentally we've changed the logo of the other watches section (next to the forum on the omegaforums.net index) to a Patek logo, purely because its the most beautiful brand logo ever made.

Other than Omega my favorite brands have been Invicta, Zodiac, Tissot and Oris. I've owned more than a dozen of each in the past 5 years that I've been collecting but they have mostly run their course for me. I set out with a target for my collection. Omega was always my target but I spent several years buying and selling many more affordable watches to learn what I liked before making a bigger purchase of Omega. My collection really has focused on variety, a little bit of everything, classified in my mind like this:
Manual Wind, Manual Chronograph, Automatic, Quartz Chronograph, Small Seconds, Jump Hour, Dual Time, 3 Hand Quartz, Japan Automatic, Japan Quartz, 6497, 6498, 2824, 2836, Classic Chinese Manual Wind, Swiss Mechanical 3 Hand, Swiss Quartz 3 Hand, Manual 3 Hand, Digital, Atomic, Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, Orange, All White, All Black, Brown, Gold, Guilloche, Mother of Pearl, Classic Dress, Aviator, Sporty Dress, Casual Dress, Travel Watch, Diver, Swiss Diver, Japanese Diver, Russian/Soviet, Vintage.

So my collection looks like this today:

Today I decided to put on one of my favourites, its cheap enough to knock and just keeps going. Its a 9k Record De Luxe automatic, I believe from the 1950s

A pre-Longines Record. Do you know what's under the hood - maybe a 195x series?

I don't know sorry. Even though I collect watches, my skill level doesn't go as far as opening cases! Knowing my luck I'll pry it open, damage it and then have to get someone else to put it back on!

I wanted to show one of my Asprey watches, what prompted me to show this one is that I have been invited to a cocktail evening next week hosted by of all people William Asprey of the original Asprey family. William now trades under William & Son, they still make limited edition watches and resale other prestige brands.

Sorry about the image quality/framing - my Dad took these as most of my watches are looked after by him.

Seadweller - no wart over the date. I'd take a non-COSC / no date Submariner 14060 or a vintage 551x no date over all of them though.

I have to agree, i'm leaning towards a Seadweller. Not to keen on the Rolex 'cyclops' viewing window.
