What? Me worry?

Should I be concerned about this? It is not every day, and to be honest I haven’t noticed if it’s only on the 12th of every month, but rarely, I will notice that the date has not fully changed even late in the morning.

In a couple of hours it is fine. Next day no issue.

Is it indicative of a problem?

It is a problem! You may have waited too long for a warranty correction, but if it was most folks, I think they’d want it attended to.

That definitely seems abnormal. What the full-service performed by Omega?

Calling @Archer

Could it possibly be a problem that will “do further damage” if I just live with it? I’m not OCD enough that it drives me crazy if it’s not switching exactly at midnight, but I wouldn’t want to do any damage to the movement.

Really depends on what is causing it. But if it's only on the one day it's unlikely to be anything that would cause further damage.

wow. Good for you. I personally would go insane with something like this. I’d lose sleep if it looked like this at 1am - let alone later in the day. Certainly looks as if something is sticky there. I don’t think it’ll damage anything but it’s clearly not functioning.

My midsize Seamaster Pro 2551.80 developed a similar issue about two years after a routine service by Omega in 2017. It was happening every day. Luckily it was still just within the service warranty period so I sent it back to them and it got fixed for free. I know an issue like this would drive me nuts so I'd get it fixed.

When the date on my 2254 started flipping like yours, i gave it to my watchmaker. He told me that it was already due to service.
now it works fine again.
his advice was, with this movement not to wait so long with the service.
