A Friend of mine got this watch from his grandpa. We wanted to find out more about it on the internet, but did not find anything. We definitely know that it is gilded, not sure if maybe all of the case is out of gold.

Can someone help us out?

I vote for ref. 166.070 with a cal. 565 movement. As far as the pictures can tell, it looks legit.

It is a late 60s / early 70s watch. The case is gilded / gold-plated.

Edit: It looks like this one, right?

Thank you for the answer, you're helping out a lot.
It must be the same model, although the dial is in a different color. Why is it that you can't find any information about it online regarding things like the approximate price.

It's worth between EUR 300 and EUR 550 depending on condition and inside pictures. Better pictures are required.

If you want to learn more about 60's and 70's Genève models there are lots of threads about them on OF. Just use google or the search button on OF.

And welcome by the way...😁

So that's where the Trapezoid Omega symbol came from on the Speedmaster 1171 bracelet. Very cool watch!

Back then, each model could come with lots of different dual colours/designs. Don’t focus on the colours, as long as the overall layout is the same, it’s the same watch
