Hello Friends,

I came across this watch locally in Canada. The owner doesn't know much about it. Your thoughts? Year?

Any comments most appreciated.

Best Regards
Kerry

Nice nice nice looking... Looks like a step dial - so a 145.022-71 or 145.022-69?

Hoping it's being sold for a "local" price! If so - scoop it up quick!

Edit

Ok maybe not a dome dial... so -71?

Hi Kerry,

I’ve contacted the seller also (and started my own thread - sorry Mods!). Have you had any joy with further information from this chap?

Hi Virgil, he hasn't told me anything other than it was his deceased uncles watch. He thought the bracelet was original and has a current offer of CAN$5000. However there are no bids showing. I showed the post to an experienced speedy fellow and he felt the watch was fraudulent. I have backed away and will pass. I don't have a enough knowledge with vintage speedies and could get burned.

I’ve got concerns. The S in speedmaster seems odd. Then look at the lugs. They are not straight.

I think that bracelet thrashed the lug opening over the years. The owner not willing to send better pictures. I don't think its fraudulent, just a shrewd ebay seller. He is in the far north of Canada , cold and snowy and everything is expensive, he just wants the most he can get. Let the buyer beware!
