What is this part called--and where can I find one?

Hey, folks-- looking for a missing chrono part. See circled bit in pic below. Just picked up one of these and it is missing this part. Any idea where to look for one? Or is this something a watchmaker could source fairly easily on their own during a service, which is much needed in any case...?

Thx for the help!

Hi

That screw head they you circled is a case screw, aka "dog screw" to how movemement in case. there are three in this movement ...

if the screw is missing the movement will be loose in the case.

I assume you're not really asking about the screw. I'm not sure it's the official name, but I have seen that part called the "hammer". I believe that the Zenith 146 is basically the same as a UG 285, and it may be easier to find parts for the latter.

Thanks guys, yes. The screw I assume is not difficult to source. It's the "hammer"(?) that I am after...

Looks like you are correct: this part is referred to as the hammer, at least sometimes. I found several for sale. Any Zenith afficinados know if there is any difference between 146 D, H, etc. hammers? Or are they all interchangeable?

For what its worth - here's the movement on 146 DP. Not a sharp pic but you can see the 'hammer' (if thats the correct term) has an additional slot and screw in the middle. So may not be interchangeable to answer your question.

Interesting, thanks.
