·I love it. The patina is beautiful, it's clean, the lugs are understated accentuating the roundness of the case.
Disclaimer: I have ZERO experience with Universal Geneve and therefore have no valuable inputs as to the authenticity of the piece...it just looks pretty!

Looks nice, the hour and minutes hands Are of different style so maybe the minute hand was replaced?

·I think it's probably OK. I've seen the cal 262 in anything from a 30mm case and this would be the absolutely biggest variant. It's quite common to see the mix of a sword hand and this minute hand - a lot of the smaller Outdoorsmans have this mix as well. I wouldn't worry too much about the crown as I'd be fairly sure that this pre-dates signed crowns.
The only bit that bugs is the fact that it's in such good condition but I can't actually pinpoint a single detail that puts me off. I have thought about buying this one myself but until I finish off at least 2 other projects (a Polerouter bumper and a 18ct Outdoorsman) I'm not buying anything new.

·I've thought about buying this one, very large size and pretty reasonable price IMO. Just haven't been in buying mode I guess. I passed over it several times thinking I had decided there was something wrong with it, but each time I came back and realized I couldn't find anything that jumps out at me as an issue.

i have been a victim of a wrong and damaged crown recently disguised in pics. not very cool if that was the case here.
but this is a sharp looking watch, and if somebody thought if there was something wrong with one aspect of it the other parts and a whole made up for it.

as already stated, hands look fine, this is a known config.
I agree crown is likely replacement but wouldn't bother me

how would we approach it? would the 5 digit case ref be searchable? I know that sometimes just searching numbers here on OF doesn't work, at least if they are shorter, but perhaps 5 digits would be long enough? Anyhow obviously it would need to be searchable, otherwise if it was just a photographic reference that would be unwieldy, but if it was both photo and case ref and searchable, then anyone could add three handers to it, with a few pics, and the case ref included in the post ? Does that make sense?
