What happened to FC Barcelona?

If I was Barcelona I would buy bayern München
They already own a small part of Bayern (Coutinho) but they don't have the financial muscle of old. They've lost a number of revenue streams due to Covid-19 and have one of the highest wage bills in football.

I think it's an end of an era and personally I think they'll follow in Milan's footsteps and decline steadily over the next 5-10 yrs.

End of a cycle at Barcelona, but I think the doomsayers are over exaggerating. A good manager (Pochettino) followed by a couple of key signings and they will be competitive

Apparently the whole squad is available for transfer except 4 players. Pretty drastic and an over reaction. Squads need time to bed in and gel. Get new players by all means but this is a pretty big FU to the whole team, when the real issue is higher up the food chain.

Despite all facts, bad management and "old squad" we are still talking about an excellent team who should under no circumstances loose that bad. They are well more paid than any of Bayern players and that might be the actual issue. The hunger is gone since most of them have won pretty much everything. Messi can't carry the burden all alone and especially when it comes do defence. All in all big mountain to climb for Barca next season..

Messi is one of the reason modern football has passed them by.

You can't play modern Football and have one of the players don't defend and press, no matter how good he's.

I agree. It's a team effort. The problem with Barcelona nowadays is that they aren't a team. They are a group of players that are very good but are not as cohesive as the Barcelona teams of the past. You can put millions into a team and not get results. What they need is a direction. A young manager with ideas that builds from youth and uses experienced players to create an even squad.
