Good evening OF, my last one, 145.022 from 1989; I got it for a very good price but.... Mmmmhh, I know why... How is that possible? Like if it was burnt, scratched, and "repaired" with a black pen... Who can do that? Why having the idea to even touch an index when you are not a pro?... Mystery of men's brains...

Was the price good enough that you'd sell it for parts, starting with the bezel insert?

Was it a real good price? Is everything else OK? Unless it drives u crazy I might just run with it. I got a couple decent one with dings, the dials are mint though never seen anything like u have but it adds character.

Looks like Zorro’s been up to his old tricks again... or is it a magnifying glass + sun?

That 's what you see, with "naked" eyes, so indeed, no pb to live with it... Just curious to understand how it can lead to that...

? Why the bezel insert ?
(The price was good because it was supplied with a 1450/808 I was looking for, for a 20th anniversary one...)

! Ok... So, according to you, a real burn by welding, exact?

Yes. Only my hunch though. You'd need to check the back of the dial to be sure.

I see.... I think you get the more probable explanation... Seems logical with this very localized burn... I planned to let it for a service, so it will be the right moment to see behind and take pictures... I will post them... To solve the case! ::screwloose::
