No service story because it should be never opened. Look at red dot on the caseback.
I would let unopened till it is ok...

So you need to factor in a service on top of the purchase price.
A 1045 movement is deemed CAT4 with Swiss Time Services in the UK
http://www.swisstimeservices.co.uk/retail/speedmaster.html

STS service would be more than £450

Other independant watch makers would charge less but I have never enquired about a 1045.
Simon Freese would probably be my choice having dealt with him in the past

Only you can decide if the price is fair, or not

But .........Are you going to actually wear it though? These are big big lumps of st steel, and they get bashed and scarred easily

It aint gonna be NOS condition for long if you wear it , so the premium you pay today may evaporate.

Recommend you watch the interview on analgue/shitf posted recently between Geoffrey and Wei - good advice given there

Btw - I bought my not in NOS condition ( photos above) Mk4.5 for £1k back in 2012. I guess i would get a little bit more than that if i sold it today (with the extract) but my guess is that the mk 4.5 is not going to appreciate as fast as moonwatch speedies or SS rolexes for example etc

So really up to you where to place your cash

Yes, I’m going to wear it. It would not be an investment, it is a passsion.
Moreover I prefer patina than nos...

I’d say the price is slightly high, but considering the condition it would be worth it. If it’s from a brick and mortar store they should offer some sort of warranty, so that would be a plus too.

It’s true that it’s a substantial watch, but the thickess is no more than any number of 7750 equipped chronographs, and probably less than most modern Omega coaxials. The short lug to lug distance makes it wearable for me (small wrist). The sunburst finish is prone to scratches if you wear it carelessly, but, as always, it will depend on your own habits.

Best of luck.

Does not look polished to me. But for that price and condition, I would be afraid to wear it!

Coo! I've had my 4.5 a matter of months and I had no idea that the case comes apart in that way: is it simply a push fit?

What about requested pricing?
Is 2.500 euro too much for a (supposed) never touched?
I don't think so and, without backtracking through this thread, on the eassumption that everything performs correctly.

Not unless you have fingers made of steel!

Hello ti everybody,
I would like to know your tought about following Mark 4,5, and how much I should pay it. The bracelet is service one.
Thank you

Great condition, pratically untouched! I don't think that 2.500€ is too much for such a beauty.
I would go for it 😉

The condition is very nice.
The price of EUR2,500 doesn't make it a bargain though.

Pretty sure it's in original condition, would however recommend to get it serviced before wearing sincit it has never been serviced before. Should take service costs into account in your purchase.

Seeing to red dot on the case back I could think that it is never opened and never polished.
What do you think about Mark 4,5 reference?
Looks like a nice example, too petty not original 1171 with 172 end links, but head, dial and hands look very nice.
