What do I have.

I know it’s a de ville but that’s all. My wife bought it for a graduation present in Australia 35+ years ago. It was sent to omega in Switzerland 3 times recently - according to our local omega jeweller and doesn’t run. I took the watch apart today and there’s no battery in it. It went to them to have a new one fitted - I took my eye off the ball and now have to clean up the crap. Does any one know what model number it is and what battery it takes. I also have a seamaster for daily use which is also 40+ old. Any information would be apreaciated.

We need to see the movement.
Can you flip the movement over and rest it in the crystal (turn the crystal over so it acts like a bowl to protect the hands).
Flip the case/bracelet over so we can see the back, and then take another photo.

quartz 80's deville is what you have.

If you want to know the battery it helps to show the movement which has the number on it, and the battery location.

The battery you need is a 321 or equivalent.

If the watch doesn't run with a fresh battery you can put a new movement in it.
An ETA 976.001 will be OK (it's basically the same as the Omega movement).

Thanks Jim, I’ll organise one and try that. I’ll keep you posted.
