Bought this Staib mesh bracelet to replace the rubber strap and deployant clasp.
I should have bought it on the mesh originally but didn't 🙁

I decided to find a period correct Gay Freres Bracelet for my 666A Ingenieur. This was roughly 2 weeks ago. I discovered that Ref 11 and 12 have very few examples online for sale, all of which were over $1K USD. I found one Ref 11 with IA endlinks example for sale on Ebay listed at $1,499. I submitted offers and quickly was auto rejected by Ebay. I used up all of my offers in a span of 1 minute. This prompted me to reach out to the seller. He was able to work with me and we got a deal done fairly quickly.

Since I set an alert for this on Ebay, the next day I saw an earlier model for the bracelet that was exactly period correct with the "I" endlinks. The seller listed as a "Guy Freres", yet there was over 50 watchers! I told myself I would just watch and see what happens. Fast forward to me successful outbidding my fellow watch collectors for what I believe to be an even better deal. The last 5 seconds of the bidding got intense.

Now I have two examples and one watch...but I tell myself I did a good thing since these are so elusive. On the other hand I tell myself I am a greedy dummy. The pictures are from the sellers so once they arrive I will upload pictures.

Updated: one of the examples came in

Wanted a nice pad for the tabletop when I change straps or bracelets. Could find any nice Omega ones but there was this nice Rolex one.

So now I’m a Rolex owner right 😉

The bracelet for my worldtimer arrived today. After 2 years with the rubber and loving it, I thought I would get the bracelet solely to have the full set as I am planning on keeping it forever, but now I have sized it, it is definitely growing on me. I prefer the rubber but now wondering about what I will use for what and how often I will change it.

Looks great on that watch.

Thanks! I think one advantage of these types of cases is that you don't have to track down specific end links, so there are lots of bracelet options. 👍
