Finally purchased a Bergeon 4040.
I bought a 4040 early in my watch servicing hobby. Later I purchased various brands of inexpensive clones and none are worth a dime. Mostly junk. Just bought my second 4040....馃榾

I currently have an inexpensive clone and happy that I've upgraded.

Bought the big, thick, 3.5kg book on the Reverso.

It's been quite a captivating read so far!

Bought yesterday.

Been looking for one for a while.

An absolute must if you own a Kinetic watch or if you are foolish enough to own 2 or more of them ( I am only stupid enough to own 2).

$2.00 at a local thrift shop.

No longer do I need to worry about wearing my Kinetic, no longer a slave to it so I can wear other vintage watches more often.

Seiko Kinetics run for about 6 months on a full charge but to keep them fully charged Seiko's recommendation is to wear them 10 hours a day, though I am sure you really don't need to wear them that often to keep them fully charged unless you are a corpse 馃.

Seiko used to produce a wireless charger for their Kinetics but they were mostly a Watchmakers item and eventually they stopped making them so they are hard to find and are expensive.

Because these watches utilize a coil in the charging system ie magnet and coil = generator to charge the battery the watch can get an induced charge via the coil so can be charged wirelessly using the wireless charge system of Braun toothbrush chargers, other wireless chargers such as cell phones and the like use don't work.

Does this count? I've had my eye on the newer Panerai Luna Rossa watches...

More watch tools arrived.

Now I just need to find the motivation to sell off some watches I do not want to service myself. I probably could have bought proper service for what these updated tools are costing me.

Still would like to find a decent AD in the San Francisco Bay area. I do not mind working on the ladies movements and the basket case chronographs. On the good stuff, like my speedmaster or the everyday watches though I really want that professional touch.

Three larger waterproof travel boxes. I have some single sized ones which I use to send individual watches for repair but, having taken a few watches on holiday earlier this year, thought these might be useful

Could you please create a thread on how this works when you get it charging your watch.
Thanks
