Mostly straps and services in 2020 but a few eBay bits. Not helped by the ‘bargains’ thread. Got my eyes on something nice next year.

I have sold a number of watches this year that I found I was no longer wearing. It was cathartic.

I bought three:

A lean year for me. Picked up the Apnea in Jan and I think it's never leaving the collection. The others are fun, but bought as beaters in the summer.

Been really eyeing a Pelagos and finally getting a speedy, but probably going to wait until summer 2021. 2020 made me reexamine my financials, and I dumped all my discretionary money into the market and recasting my mortgage. Less watches now, but hopefully many more in a couple years when we are more financially independent.

2020 was the year my watch collection took a huge jump in quality with 3 Speedies (four if you add the one for the baby) plus two older Seamasters (and LOTS of straps!).

Started the year off with the CK2998 as I’ve always liked the lollipop hand making it different to other Speedies.

Later on I added the Hodinkee Swatch for a bit of fun.

Then for even more fun added the Seiko 5 Street Fighter Ryu and actually got me back to playing the game casually.

The two watches am most proud of, added to my collection this year, were a Rolex 1500 with a mosaic dial and a solid gold 1960 Seamaster pre-DeVille with a cal. 560.

Well, this year I couldn't pass by this dress Omega Geneve, it really took my heart so I immediatelly acquired it!

And I always wanted a vintage Datejust, so this Buckley came right in time!

I sold my ST2 Ultraman as I wasn't wearing it.

Bought 2 modern Glycine Combat subs, have been wearing them daily...

I'm happy where my collection is at. I did manage to find a nice metal die-maker tool box from a local car guy... stores my odds and ends nicely.

Seems I wasn’t quite done. Full set 16220. L serial, so 1989 (papers marked 1990). Looks virtually unworn.
