But there is nothing like a nylon threaded strap mixed with acid sweat to destroy any watch.
I guess we've all experience that feeling when getting your hands on a nice unmolested vintage watch, your heartbeat start accelerating.... you turn the watch around and the case back has been literally eaten.
What a frustration. Who invented these ?

Gynecology ?

When an interviewer asked Tom Arnold about the allegation by Rosanne Barr that he was "small," he responded that it was like landing a plane in the Grand Canyon. So I guess if the watch came from her gynecologist, the answer would be yes.

Hi everyone...

A big offender to watch case wear is STARCH! I am not joking..... Starched shirts , spefically sleeve cuffs. Tops of bezels , lugs sides too etc..... Seen lots of wear over the years ...

So this opens it up to all watches and even desk divers !

Good hunting

Id prefer heavy wear than a crappy watchmaker putting it through the wheel of death

agreed 100%. The same reason why I'd take a high mileage vehicle that was regularly serviced than one that was used in short stints and not serviced. Use doesn't put me off, neglect does.

It take a lot to damage a watch case .... it takes only a little touch of care to wear a quality watch and not damage it.
