Does this count as a meal? Just something I quickly whipped up until dinnertime.

Having New York Strip Steak fried in butter with baby sweet peas and whole boiled small potatoes cooked together.
For bread I'll have Brioche rolls. These are slightly sweet so they go well enough with meat fried in butter and make a desert unnecessary.
I'll have a half glass of Blackberry wine to sip on to cut the grease.

Having a late supper, slept most of the day. Having mixed beans with cornbread and stuffed Green Peppers.
I use eggs, milk ( plus a bit of water) and melted butter in my cornbread mix, it goes with everything just great.

Vanilla protein shake. Feeling heavy after an alcohol induced weekend.

Some light vegetarian food (garbanzo peas, potatoes garnished with Serrano peppers and cilantro served with brown rice) this evening before the impending Thanksgiving food onslaught 😉

Lamb burgers stuffed with gorgonzola cheese tonight. In protest of having to eat a protein other the rib roast for t-giving tomorrow..

And I don't mind bragging that the burgers weren't baaaaaad.

I was watching a news item about the turkey on the White House lawn the other day. He had a large feathered bird next to him.....

Kerwin, the BBQ Wonder Dog, supervises the annual Smoking of the Turkey. Not sure what the chairs are doing there...

Saturday was miserable here, so lots of rain, cold, and outdoor work was out of the question. We made a quick run to get a few things and made some beef stock - perfect day for it so a few photos of the process...

After several hours of simmering...

Cooling off...

Looks tasty...

The next day we removed the fat...

And prepared it for freezing:

Sunday was a nicer day, so outside chores were completed...including cleaning leaves off the roof and out of the eves:

Then we made some beef barely soup, using the newly made stock:

And tonight I'm eating more of it since it's been another cold and rainy day:

Tasty!

I’ve got a ribeye the size of a small county and as thick as Scarlett Johannson’s lips.

Might make chimichurri, but not sure about a side...any suggestions?

Chimichurri is the side.
