No haha
Having nearly had my fingers burned on Ebay trying to buy a Stretch Armstrong toy I have decided to leave it to more knowledgeable bidders! If I ever come on here and say 'I've seen a xxxx on Ebay' feel free to call me the worse words you can think of 😉

Ahk, there was a PP almost identical (no ref specified) sell last night on ebay, I threw $3k at it for fun while the bidding was low.

I did think about getting a Calatrava but quite a few people have them so I decided to go for a 1584 with the hooded lugs, It came with the original strap and buckle but luckily it also had fitted a very smart gold bracelet that looked perfect on it.

This is the Golden Seamaster
Case number ‘168023’, date of manufacture 1968, and model number ‘A88727’, the movement is stamped with the serial number
‘26199967’ and calibre number ‘751’

The La Magique is still with a watch specialist in the UK waiting for a gold pin to reattach the strap. They have this small flimsy pin that has a little notch in it and mine snapped ;(
Good news is that my watchmaker friend is getting the bit and it should be back with me here in Penang before November.

The Patek is a late 40's or early 50's piece with one of their 12 ligne manual wind calibers. Classic!

And the back of the Seamaster, sorry about the quality but my Father is not au fait with taking pics of watches and this was the best he could send me last time I asked.

The guy that I got the Seamaster from was a serious watch collector, he passed away about 15 years ago and his wife found it last year with a lot of others amazing watches in their bank deposit box, most or all of those went to the family members.
Strange that she never bothered to check before, or maybe he never told her!

I have quite a few gold watches but they never get worn, they're just locked away, my day to day watches are things like an old Record Chronograph, Steel Omega Seamaster, Rado, Movado all things that I don't mind gently knocking.

Hi All
Is this the type of thing that should be added to a vintage Omega collection?

Definitely, but I didn't know integrated cases held pie-pans before. I love the look of that though 100%.

Oooooo, a 60's hidden crown on a Milanese bracelet! That would be a great addition.

Seriously guys? Do you think it would be a good addition?
I am toying with the idea of this or GuiIliano Mazzuoli in 18k rose gold.

Here's a pic of the Giuliano Mazzuoli 7470PGC-510FABL . What would be the right sort of money to get the Omega for (ballpark)?

Get the Constellation! and I'm not just saying that because I like Omegas, I'm saying that because I hate that! The rest of your collection is superb, I'd pass on that one man.

Thanks Ashley 😉

I know its a bit of a departure from my usual watches ( I also bought a pristine unworn Calatrava from a collector last week). I like the look of the Constellation but also felt that I needed to get a little wilder with my watch collection!! I haven't made an offer for the Omega yet. Its all 18k with the original box, been with the same person from new etc... what would you be happy spending if it was offered to you?

$3421.85

Which is the sum total in my watch fund at present after buying a new deployant clasp and strap for my SMPC. For a perspective from someone with a larger watch fund, you'll have to try Mondodec/ulackfocus/wetworks/etc.
