What are ADs using to steam clean watches?

I watched a Frederico Talks Watches video a while back, and this thread sent me looking for it. Federico tells a story about when he worked at a boutique and he steam cleaned a customer’s watch as a courtesy while he was shopping. He goes on to say that he didn’t check if the crown was open and ended up filling it with water .

So, some dealers maybe are okay tossing the whole watch into a steamer?

^^^ moral of that story is, Frederico is not the sharpest knife in the drawer...

Just remember to change the tip if you decide to use it on yourself after filling it with Simple Green 1:1 distilled water for cleaning your watches.

(just kidding - do not clean your teeth with Simple Green!)
