Mine also says hello! This was the first higher end watch I purchased, and not a day goes by where I regret it. Well, occasionally I think of that Zenith El Primero Striking 10th I could have had for $5k, but as a daily wearer it is extremely hard to argue with the shiny ceramic face and the ceramic bezel

Since we have a big club of PO LM LE owners here: anyone try it on a milanese bracelet? Been considering something along those lines just for a change of pace, but if someone has done this and has thoughts I'd appreciate it (and pics!)

SUPER Late on this thread but just wanted to share my pics of the newer PO titanium. I love the visual case back of the 8500 co-axial movement. The weight of the timepiece in titanium isn't my favorite though.

I was a whisker away from buying one at an awesome price, for once the dealer had no idea about these, but me being slightly superstitious, the limited edition number on that particular watch translated to the road to easy death hahaha and I couldn't do it.

Mine says hello...

Originally from Germany, now with me in Denmark. Amazing piece... I've been through Rolex Explorer 2, Rolex Sub and they just didn't stay with me... but this is a keeper 😀

Love this PO.
What strap do you have on this? I do like the metal one and I'm looking for a good rubber strap.

Either you get this one...or you'll be chasing it the rest of your watch collecting life...

This has everything you could possibly want.... Black LM (not Blue)....RED Seamaster (not orange)...that shiny finish, slim (enough) case and perfect proportions....applied hour markers, Sporty, casual, formal (think bond QOS) ... like I've said...if ever forced to give up the rest of the collection...this one could be the one and only...

I've had a number of 2500 Omega.... not ever one problem...

I absolutely love this photo!

The nice thing is you change the strap after a while and it's almost like a new fresh look.

I love mine as well, the way the ceramic dial and insert shine is out of this world! Mine was sold in Japan back in 2010 and is one of the early numbered pieces 00xx/1948!

#983 and #1356 here, but the newer one will be going to a good home soon, although if he backs out I will keep it for my son.

I wanted to give one to my son for a major milestone, like a graduation or wedding, to wear ours together. But he wants my black Rolex Explorer II for college graduation, which means saving the POLMLE for many more years for a wedding. So, I got an unsolicited offer from a friend and agreed.

So I’m down to one POLMLE (I traded the other POLMLE for an 11 mo old GSOTM for my son), but I want to get it’s first service at Omega now.

I’d like the watch to look like new since I don’t plan to sell it and just want to enjoy it, and I wonder what are everyone’s thoughts on letting Omega polish/finish the case and bracelet to factory specs which is included with the service cost.

The watch isn’t really marked up, but I figure Omega wouldn’t over polish and would just refresh the factory finish. They did a remarkable job on my 2002 Ti SMP chronograph, and they also won’t discount the service if I ask them to not do all the work.

So, will letting Omega do the included polish with the service (or even replace the hands as they often do) hurt the value later in case one of my kids decided to sell the watch about 30-40 years down the line? Does it really need to keep the original finish to have max value when it’s vintage in a few decades?

I’m no vintage expert but they always want them unpolished. Personally, I fail to see why a factory service that’s well done would harm the watch. If the receipts are kept, it adds provinance to the watch. If you’re like me, you’d rather the watch looked like new. I’m sure others will chime in soon to to tell you to never polish it. 😉👍
