Well, early on in response to a comment on Omega’s Instagram post, Swatch’s Instagram stated they would be online.




However, recently, yes, you’re right, they have stepped back and carefully phrased things to imply it will be in store only.

I agree, this is a bit unfair - this should be a “plastic quartz watches” subforum.
Could it be that the Moonswatch has blinded even our savvy and generous hosts @Trev @dsio (please don’t ban me for rebellion)

Initially, Swatch had said these would be online; however, recently they have carefully changed their wording. If you look at the stories that @cvalue13 has shared, they are specifically stating these will be “available in select stores.” They are also specifically stating these “are not limited edition” but not addressing limited run. I personally wouldn’t hold my breath for availability online and I am inclined to believe these will be limited in run as well. I would love for these to be readily available for all but I can’t get over this sinking feeling this was just a hype machine, unfortunately.

I would love to be wrong. There are several of these that I would happily pick up

 

swatch has more recently been indicating there will be online sales

I would personally, from the perspective of my hopes of ease of purchase, view online sales as a mixed message at best

Since many of these models are still trading swiftly at the 4X+ mark, in the near term there will be ample resellers using bots to disproportionately acquire any online release units. If possible, have an account with pre-saved payment information and thumb-buy like lightning.

If indeed Swatch continues supplying ample stock over subsequent drops, then the watches should get easier to acquire online - once say sub 2X resale numbers are reached

Last few days have seen a down tic in online pricing, so hopefully things get colorful in my watch box

 

Plan to circumvent the ebay fees or trick the buyer?

 

I don't know about Hungary, but in the US the fees are charged on the total, including not only shipping but even sales tax.

but the all-in price is in line with sales prices currently
