Thank you Tritto, you have saved me a lot of trouble. The old saying "When it is to good to be true" is still around for a reason

Hey fellas. I've just agreed to sell my Calypso to a friend and discovered (fortunately before I sent it off) that that's the gasket in the crown has disintegrated. It's an easy one to hook out and replace, but non of the micro gaskets I have on hand fit. Inside diameter would be 2.5mm but I'm not sure of the outer diameter. Has anyone ever replaced the crown gasket and can give me dimensions or the Omega part number? Bonus points for the time setting pusher gaskets ;-)

So glad to found this forum! I’ve gotten this watch from my father which gotten his from his dad. I think bought around ‘87. Bracelet is missing so I asked help from local watchmaker to hack a leather strap. Have done this trick for the past 10 years. If anyone know where to find the bracelet for this PVD version, please let me know thanks!

Nice thread dedicated to Calypso!
Too bad the bezel is stuck, but I don’t mind. Matching orange with the minute hand 😉

Hello all,

I just impulse-bought a 1384/711 bracelet on ebay, do you know if it can be fitted to another omega case / model? (I don't own a Calypso)
Sadly it looks a bit specific to the Calypso, but maybe with other endlinks?

Thank you in advance!

Greetings hive mind!
I recently acquired a Seamaster Calypso through a trade, I swapped a great condition Mido Oceanstar Tribute.. Honestly it was a Friday night after a few too many and I was hopeful that it would be a birth year 1982...
After some research I discovered it was in fact a 1984 Calypso.. it's been recently serviced with the full link bracelet restored to original condition and I think the hands have maybe been relumed but overall it's in great very well used 40 year old condition.
Question being, what's it realistically worth?

Good looking watch. Bezel looks good, dial a bit less. Is the case and bracelet sandblasted or something? It all depends on the movement, if thats restored / serviced i would say overall 500 - 750 euro.

Hello all. I’m looking for a extra piece to my silver dialed Calypso’s bracelet.

Any chance to find it from here?

Really hard to find afaik. All parts for the Calypso's are really expensive IF you manage to find something.

How nice to see so many Calypso's in one place. It's a great fun watch. Mine is a 396.0975:

Old post reply but just added a rare Calypso to my collection...need to find a original bracelet some day although I really like the vintage "tropical" rubber bracelet on this one.

I had a Calypso once, really cool watch but was really worn. Impossible to find parts for it so i sold it for a big loss. Still miss it sometimes.

A unique model! Had this one in a couple of weeks ago, was the first one I found in decent condition for a decent price. Loved how it wears, nice and flat on my skinny wrist.

Omega Seamaster 120m Quartz 1380 Womens Diver bought recently like new. Never sold. It's the smallest and plainest of all but to find it in that impecable condition is priceless. I can't find which series is because there are no records of women watches as you know.

Nice!

That’s a Calypso II (1981), ref. SR796.0838/596.0043

(SR indicates black chromium-plated steel)
