Never washed my hands in a way I have needed to take a watch off, and never pissed on my wrists either. 馃槜

What? You have never had a hair covering the hole divert the stream a full 90掳 sideways, drenching the shoes and trousers of the rugby player using the urinal next to yours? I mean, come on.. you're likely to have at least some piss on your wrists in that sort of situation..... either yours, or the other guy's...

I am from Barcelona and I use daily watches that cost 7 times more than your Omega, enjoy the city and do not worry, just caution as in all parts of the world. I wouldn't even think of going at 2:00 AM for Central Park, or for the Bronx teaching my Rolex.

Visited Spain on business and holiday, never had a problem. Just the usual vigilance in busy city鈥檚, great county to explore, recommended.

I think the risk is higher by posting about your future extended absence from home on the Internet, than it is by wearing any kind of watch on your wrist in Spain 馃槈

This.

Make sure to post your garage code too just in case!

These are the kinds of posts that you find over on the Rolex forums. I find this forum to have far better content. Kind of disappointing when these pop up. This stuff is a no brainer. Why ask a bunch of strangers "is it safe?" Simply use common sense.

Well any mugger is going to think that's a Seiko, so you needn't worry. 馃槈

I hope you enjoyed the trip to beautiful Spain.

I wouldn't worry about wearing that watch - a gold Rolex on the other hand...

I agree. Unless they're professional, pretty much the only thing a street thief is going to recognize is a Rolex. Hell, I was standing next to somebody at a wine tasting yesterday, and he had on a beautiful looking chronograph that I thought might be a Lange & Sohne, but sure enough when he reached his arm out to get another pour, I saw the tick-tick-tick quartz movement in action. For the most part, nobody knows what anything is unless it's the crown.
