Married in 2000. White gold because I never thought I would own a gold coloured watch. Did you pick yours to match your watch?

Thanks for starting this discussion. I’ll be going through the ceremony at some point next year, myself. Her gem has been acquired, ring designed, and we’re just waiting for it to be finished. I used to think I would never wear gold but I’m warming to the idea. I think they can look especially smart on a nice brown leather band. But most of my current watches are just silver and black. I think I’m ok if my wedding band and watch don’t match. Wait! No one said you can’t have multiple bands if you really want to match them to your watch… I think I just decided for myself

I don't worry about rings, belt or shoes matching my watch choice like some people do. By pure chance I wear a Cartier tri-color wedding ring so I'm covered by accident.

Fashion rules do not apply any more, but the rule is, men's jewelry should all match

So multiple bands is probably more common than I previously assumed?

There are enough things in life to concern us, other than colour co-ordinating jewellery, clothing, and watches, in my view.

If you are into polygamy I suppose.

That is reason why I like gold watches... 😗

That and my allergy to Nickel. Something I said to her joking years ago and until recently she really thought I was allergic to nickel. Hahaha.

I did. I don't own a gold watch anymore so decided on going with a Silver band that I bought from a Jewellry designer from etsy. It was very hard to find a wedding ring I liked actually.

Married but not wearing a wedding ring, never have and never will. Only jewelry for me is the watch 😀

Picked white gold for the ring only because I don’t like the flashiness of yellow or rose gold.

I’ve had a gold wedding band for 55+ years, and have worn it once since I bought my one diamond ring in 1985. And that one occasion was at our 50th wedding anniversary. She’s okay with it. Actually, I wear two diamond rings. My one diamond ring is 18-karat yellow gold with 5 baguette diamonds totalling one carat. My other one is 14-karat yellow gold with a 0.32 carat centre stone, and 5 small diamonds totalling 0.10 carats. They go well with any watch I happen to be wearing! White, two-tone, or yellow.

After talking with the salesman about the different options, I went for platinum. It is hardwearing and still looks quite shiny after 7 years of marriage. Didn’t really give any thought about what it goes with, but it pretty much goes with everything. Its just a simple flat 4mm ring.

Wifey bought me a gold wedding band, I rarely wear it but when I do I wear a gold watch. For everyday we bought matching SS rings. Since I wear mostly stainless or two tone watches, this works 90% of the time.
