Hey

Another newbie question. I have now had my ref 22005000 a little over a month. Ive worn it day and night. Ive only taken it off when going for a run.
I have wound the watch maby 3-4 times. Not because it needed too, but just fooling around with it.
I have checked its precision.

It was +2,5 sec the first aprox 20 days
Then the next 15 maby - 1 - 1,5 sec.

I thought it was odd. I fully wound the watch three days ago. Its now spot on +/- 0 sec over three days.

Is it normal that an automatic watch is not steady like this?

Yes. In a perfect mechnical watch world consistency is preferred. In this less than perfect watch world many factors act upon our watches. Among them: Gravity/friction, temperature and activity/positional variation. In other words, all the things we do while waiting for something cool to happen. Our watches are "living and breathing " things and have to get to know us bit. Having said that, a watch which suddenly start to behave differently... suddenly starts running very much faster or slower may indicate a mechanical issue. Service history also plays into the whole thing. The variation you suggest, at least to me, is not alarming.

have fun
