So sorry to hear of this, as others have said you can take some solace in your family being safe and well. And hopefully the insurers will pay out.

So they ripped the safe out? If they achieved this in eight minutes incl carrying it off & driving away I‘d have a word with the installer, something‘s wrong there. What make was it?
Good luck with the insurance. Having a second safe nobody knows about with a primary to target isn‘t the worst idea. Keeping valuables out of the safe hidden will get you in major trouble with the insurance if it goes wrong. Thieves generally know very well where to look sadly. My CCTV goes to the cloud for that reason.
Anyway, most important that you and the family are unharmed, watches can be replaced.

F………….. … that’s horrible news. I hope it works out somehow (and the fleas of 1000 camels infest the nether regions of the thieves) …

This must rank as being one of a watch aficionados worst nightmares... Glad you and your family are all right!

Will keep an eye out for these gems and remind myself that the annoyance of having most of my collection in a bank safe is actually sensible. Sigh.

Dam, that's horrible news.
As you and others have said, sounds like an inside job.
As long as you and the family are safe.
Hope the bastards get caught and the watches returned.

Really sorry to hear about this chunky. As per others, at least the family/ pets were not harmed. Insurance is good, but let’s hope they get the bastards. Clearly someone who knew your setup in some way.

hopefully these will be fairly obvious when they hit the market and try to sell them. Let’s hope the police take it seriously and you get them back.

Sad news. A long shot but could be worth sharing your list of watches with local pawn shops

I'm sorry to hear about your loss, they're a some shitty people out there, and as suggested this sounds like someone knew exactly what and where to look for.

Should you recover your watches, or insurance replace them then please keep them elsewhere where only you and the family know, and look at having your CCTV backed up on the cloud.

I know it sounds obvious in hindsight, but this happened to a friend of mine, and within a few weeks he was hit again, it was suggested by the attending officer that the same lot had allowed enough time to elapse for the insurance to replace what was taken the first time.

Fuckers!! So sorry to read this thread, mate!
They surely seem to know what they were looking for in such a short timeframe.

Glad nobody was hurt, and it surely hurts to have lost the watches and all the personal investment (time, effort, feelings) that goes with it.

Best of luck, mate!

Sorry to hear of this…

An immensely distressing, and intimidating experience, to be targeted by professional thieves, evidently well briefed

I very much hope both you, and the family, are able to overcome this appalling episode, and move forward

Sadly in hindsight, ( and its always, in hindsight ) …perhaps other Members should reflect on the wisdom, and discretion, of divulging any geographical location, or the breadth / value of their collection…on a globally accessible platform, such as Instagram ?

We have certainly experienced ‘Scoundrels’ on this forum before

I’m quite sure, they continue to monitor Social Media, for opportunities ?
