I'm looking at organising a watch GTG in Huddersfield. I am expecting unprecedented demand so get your names down quickly before it fills up. Who wants to attend one in London, LA, Singapore etc when you can come to sunny Huddersfield

We'll start off with a tour of Huddersfield taking in the finest train station ever built which resembles a mini Buckingham Palace then take a tour up Emley Moor Mast which is the largest free standing tower in the UK. Then take in the Rugby League Musuem at the George Hotel, birthplace of Rugby League.

Then we'll trawl a few boozers to see if we can pick up a few women like Nora Battey from Last of The Summer Wine (filmed in Huddersfield)

We'll end the day with a pie tasting session at my house washed down with a few pints of Mild

Let me know ASAP so I can book a venue big enough for us all to attend.

I will only attend if the pork pies are from Bolster Moor Farm Shop and we end the night with a curry at the Nawab. It is bound to attract our less developed southern members with such attractions on offer and who knows some of our international members may want to fly in to "Gods own county"
The space needle thing is a tele communications mast and it replaced one that collapsed as the top got too heavy because of ice build up

If N.A. members want to sign up so we can get an idea of numbers, the Forum may be able to hire a charter.

You will need a good pilot to get that one down as Huddersfield International Airport or as it is known locally Crossland Moor is a grass airstrip but it does have its own wind sock !

Hi Phil, whereabouts are you from.
The pies from left to right are:

E Grange, Slawit; Pork & Black Pudding H Copley, Golcar; Brosters Farm Shop, Lindley Moor; Bolster Moor Farm Shop; Fidget Pie Bolster Moor Farm Shop; Brindon Addey

And the winner was E Grange

It's not the usual image you'd come up with when you think of women and stockings, plus this one comes with a rolling pin

Tom, you haven't lived until you've tried a pork pie straight from the oven

    Bloody Sla'wit!

I got a bollocking from the old timer in our office when I first started for pronouncing it as its spelt "like a typical twat from Leeds".

I live just over the hill from you in Fixby so if we have no other takers we could have the smallest get together ever and set the world to rights as only Yorkshiremen can.
I will have to pop down to Slawit to try out this match winning pie
