As Chips got more popular, he started wearing Seiko, no doubt some sponsorship placement there. Now I've got to find one. Thanks so much!

·I don’t want to say that they’re junk, but don’t overpay a dealer for one of these. They turn up often and should be inexpensive. There’s a lot of NOS parts floating around too. Also you could look for “Globa” signed ones which are about as common as the Cimier ones.

Amongst some lovely Omegas, Longines and Doxas, I do have another single jewel movement from Genova. Even after service its not very reliable. Definitely agree with your advice.

·I think a real chronograph would be more useful for the highway patrol. Still, these are interesting curiosities. Cheap, and nice-looking.
