Was offered this Speedy…is it legit?

I contacted a seller about a couple Omega watches they have for sale and they sent over some photos of this one. (Photos aren’t the best, sorry it’s what they gave me). Also note the box is for the 145.014 that they also have for sale so I don’t use that as a factor of whether this is the real deal or not.

While it’s not my cup of tea, I got to searching online to see if I could confirm it’s a legit reference and so far I can’t find anything.

While it looks close to the Speedmaster Broad Arrow 1957 Steel - Red Gold on Steel - Gold 321.90.42.50.13.001 (photo for reference below) there are some major differences. The bezel is not a Base 1000, the numerals in the subdials do not match, the running seconds subdial is split into three portions rather than four quadrants, and lastly the hour indexes are different (but are similar to other ones I've seen on omegas). I’m leaning towards this may be a fake but the case back shown in the photos makes me question that it may be from the late nineties, as I don’t believe it to be a co-axial model, and maybe I'm just not finding it in my searches.

I’m no expert on these at all so what do you all think? Is it legit?

It’s fake for a number of reasons (too many to list out) but- Look at the sub dials to see what and how they measure. Then, look at the render of the real one.

Oh agreed that it would be a fake for the Speedmaster Broad Arrow 1957 Steel - Red Gold on Steel - Gold 321.90.42.50.13.001. The measuring of the sub-dials definitely made me question the watch.

Realizing my question wasn't clear though, is the Speedmaster that is being offered by the seller a different reference? If so does anyone know the reference number? Or is just a fake all around?

As I said, it’s fake for a number of reasons. I used the sub dials as an easy example to see- The 3 o’clock sub dial is supposed to be the minute counter and it only counts to 12. The 6 o'clock sub dial is supposed to be the hour counter and it counts the 24…

The box looks legit, are they selling that?
They are but I believe it comes with the Mark II they're selling. I'll PM the link to you as from our recent conversation I think you might be interested in the 145.014 that it accompanies.

That thing is disgusting the dead skin, oil, dirt are sickening.
This person should be ashamed they are trying to sell a fake but more ashamed they let it get that gross and didn't even clean it before trying to rip someone off.

hahaha if there was a crying laughing emoji I could use here I would for this reply. My immediate thought when they sent the photo was
😲 "Sheesh, that needs a biohazardous cleaning!"

To their credit though on the authenticity of the watch, they had given me a heads up on they weren't sure about it either but I said to send it over and let's see what they have.

usually that sort of filth/detritus is a good sign.. odd that someone wore (and heavily wore) a fake watch for so long.

Maybe the dirt is fake for just that reason.
