Wanting to buy this, need your advice

Hello,

As many of you know, I am hunting for an all gold 168.045 Connie -- many of those available, it seems, are in poor shape. I've seen refinished dials, overly polished cases, etc. But I am hopeful: I have a chance to acquire one.

Wondering what you make of these pics - does it look correct? Does the brushing on the case and bracelet seem right? And how does the dial look? Are those hands wrong? Your expertise is appreciated.

I don't follow the reference so can't say too much apart from that the case looks attractive, however have you noticed the damage to the dial minute track between the 6 o'clock and 2 o'clock markers?

Great eye. The watch has been refurbished by Omega, I am told. I wonder if this damage was something the owner opted not to fix as it would've required total refinishing of the dial. In any case, thanks for pointing it out.

Ya, the wider chamfers on the all-gold one I am looking at suggest that it has gotten a thorough case refinishing. Which is something the seller isn't shy about - he has said the watch got a total overhaul, including the case, with Omega in Switzerland.

Has he got the papers to back that claim up? I've heard it a thousand times from sellers but when they have to produce the evidence, then, well...🙄

I've asked if he has papers -- and about the dial damage. Will let you all know what he says, but I am not optimistic.
