Afternoon.

So since my last post ( there is only one 馃榾 ) I thought I came across an exceptional piece, thanks to some guidance, turns out it was not that exceptional.

Anyway, I have a real appreciation for an old vintage dress piece, I found some potential, I am only interested in two watches. However it is either the full set or nothing.

Where do you start with valuation if there is so many?

Here are some of my concerns

1. On the one seamaster (brown strap), the "it" from automatic is missing, is that normal? (I think it is in the watch) See pictures below.
2. The seamster - De Ville - seems like there is lume on the markers and hands, but no subset t.
2.

Yep. He wants $4,000 for the lot. What would you be willing to pay. If I can have one, I would be happy 馃榾

This is very good advice, better to buy 1 good watch than several poor ones

This is probably one of the most mediocre collections I have seen. Nothing exceptional, all in mediocre to poor condition. Even if this were offered at $1k I would pass as trying to sell off the crap would just be a pain in the ass.

And the missing lettering is becuase someone tried to clean the dial and lost the lettering- that watch is a total loss.

Sad to say that this is spot on 馃檨

Collections like these are what happen when people do zero research and buy on impulse. I bet it has cost the owner close to the 4k mark.

Also, buying someone else鈥檚 watch collection in it entire is like buying a music collection. You rarely have exactly the same taste and in the end you鈥檒l only keep a few. Better to build your own and much more rewarding. Unless of course it鈥檚 a stunning collection of $$$ watches which you can sell off and buy ones you want. This is not that
