Vintage Watch Advertisement

I found an advertisement of my 1938 Longines Hour Angle in Polular Avaiation (dec 37) and bought the mag. I would like to display this advertisement with the watch when I'm not wearing the watch. The magazine is in rough shape. The question is, do I remove the page with the Ad. and put it in a plastic sleeve for display purpose? Do I mount the magazine with the advertisement page open in a shadow type box? Do I leave the magazine intact, closed on the shelf near the watch.? Opinions are appreciated.

I have hundreds of old watch and automobile advertisements. I just carefully cut them out and keep them in an art portfolio for reference. Having your ad matted and framed might be nice too. Just keep it out of direct sunlight so it doesn't fade.

Lovely watch.

Cut it out and have it framed. They look great hanging on the wall and it adds to the value and helps preserve it. No advantage to keeping it in the magazine.

I have quite a few framed ads in my office.

@X350 XJR what magazines are solid bets for finding vintage watch ads? I went through a ton of old Playboys, banking on the lifestyle articles, at a thrift store and found nothing

50s/60s National Geographic seems to always have been a good bet.

Well we all know the 2 Omega "vintage" ads we really can't get out of our minds 😁
(Apollo 11 Buzz Aldrin on the Moon with a second watch "added in" as they didn't spot the watch on his righthand wrist)
(STS-69 spacewalk photo of Gernhardt with a Speedmaster "added in" on his righthand wrist - EVA 1995, September 16)
